Algona Today
Seat of Kossuth County, Iowa
Population (2000): 5741
This is 272 less than in 1990.

The Kossuth County Museum in Algona has much information on the POW Camp.  The camp site is now the airport on the edge of town.  Only some drainage pipe is from the camp.
